Dr. Nafi Aygun attended medical school at the Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He conducted his residency at Hacettepe University Hospitals and then at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He accepted a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he later acted as a staff neuroradiologist before coming to Johns Hopkins Hopital as a faculty member in 2002.

Some of Dr. Aygun's recent publications include: MRI Findings: Multifocal Leucoencephalitis Secondary to Varicella-Zoster Infection; Diagnostic Imaging of Intracerebral Hemorrhage; and MR Angiography: Technique and Clinical Applications.
