Doris Lin received her B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
She then pursued a joint M.D.-Ph.D. degree at the Yale University
School of Medicine, with graduate training in the neurosciences. Her
dissertation was entitled: "Characterization of Two Distinct
Isoforms of the Inositol-1,4,5-Trisphosphate Receptor Expressed in
HEK293 Cells." She completed a medical internship at the Hospital
of the University of Pennsylvania and a diagnostic radiology residency
at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell. After a two-year neuroradiology
fellowship, she joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins.
An important aspect of her research involves incorporating her background
in molecular biology into radiology. She is currently working toward
the development of neuroimaging tools targeting cellular and molecular
processes that are amenable to non-invasive in vivo imaging.
